Common questions

My school code hasn't arrived

Codes come from unidating and usually arrive within a minute. Check your school email's spam or quarantine folder, then tap Resend in the app (you can resend after 30 seconds). A code expires after 10 minutes and allows 5 tries.

My school isn't listed

Personal email addresses (such as Gmail or iCloud) and alumni addresses are not accepted. If your school email isn't recognized, tap Request my school in the app and we'll let you know when it's added.

Who can see my Instagram, Snapchat and phone number?

Matches and friends, by default. Change it in Profile, then Settings: matches only, or nobody.

How do I report or block someone?

Open their profile or your chat with them, tap the menu, then Report or Block. Unmatch is in the same chat menu.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. It needs no email or website. If you can't open the app, send us a deletion request with the form above from the email you signed up with. See our Privacy Policy for what is deleted and what we have to keep.

What is Demo University?

A sandbox campus we made for App Review. Its profiles are fictional, their photos are AI-generated, and they are never shown to real students.
